We offer a full made to measure bespoke, hand finished curtain and blind making up service, and optional fitting service if required. Our service has taken us not just all over Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire and Leicestershire but as far as Cheshire and London and even abroad. We are as happy to make one small Roman blind as we are to make curtains for complete house makeovers.

Also made to measure are pelmets, blinds, cushions, tiebacks, bedspreads and all other soft furnishings. We have a huge range of Metal and Wooden poles, finials and curtain accessories.

The following are just a few of the different styles that we make. Many are available to see in our showroom, however, some are shown in our client's private houses (with their permission).

The simplest curtain heading is the Pencil Pleat. The curtain can either hang below the pole or track, or be in front of it so that the track is hidden when the curtains are closed. Sometimes a pelmet is used as well so as to hide the track when the curtains are open. In this example, the curtain is in front of the pole.

Very popular are the double or triple Pinch Pleat headings. The double is slightly less busy and perhaps more up to date than the triple.

Not often done, but still available is the single pleat heading

Eyelet curtains do not use rings as the pole is inserted through the eyelets in the fabric. This heading uses less fabric than other headings and gives more of a contemporary feel. We have a range of eyelet sizes and colours so as to be able to match the pole.

Here,  a semi opaque roller blind in used for privacy and also to provide shade from bright sunlight.  We offer either electric or manual blinds.

A Goblet is quite formal and is shaped, as the name suggests, like a wine goblet. A more contemporary version is an elongated and often narrower version which is called a Cartridge heading. A button is sometimes sewn on at the base of the goblet; one modern version we created even had large Sworovski crystals sewn on to the bottom of 25cm high cartridges.

We sometimes also cut out a V shape in the front of the top of the goblet showing a contrasting fabric inside. The contrast fabric here has also been chosen to make the buttons.

With Swags and Tails we alter the number of swags and number of pleats in the tails to better suit the dimensions of the window. We can incorpotrate contrast coloured fabrics and add trims, as we have here. 

The contemorary Wave heading gives the illusion that the curtains appear to float beneath the pole or track. The fabric 'waves' forward and back in sleak even folds. An advantage of this heading is that when opened, the stackback is much smaller than with other types of heading. 

Here the Wave heading track has been hidden behind a small painted pelmet.

The wave heading here is shown on a more comtemporary square of flat track as opposed to a round pole.

The wave curtain is hanging from a 'top fix' track. This particular track is useful if the curtains are hanging in a square arch, between two rooms for example, as the track looks the same from both sides. In this example the fabric is unlined, although we have previously used two different fabrics on room dividing curtains to suit each room's decor.

A Random Gathered heading gives a less formal appearance. The pole used in this job is a hand made 25mm polished steel pole which has been bent to size. A standard stud finial is used to keep the design simple. Note the passing rings that are designed to pass over brackets supporting the pole so that the curtains can open and close.

A Polepocket heading would only be used for dress or faux curtains as it would be difficult to open and close the curtains unless the pocket was made quite loose; however, if this is done then when the curtains are opened they tend to want to expand back along the pole, particularly if they are interlined. We normally have an 8 to 10cm upstand above the pole with this type of heading.
There are several other types of heading such as Puffball, Box pleat, Puffed. 

The heading is not always on show; often it is hidden behind a pelmet. We have made plain padded pelmets and shaped pelmets, often with fringing or piping, studs or other trimming. In this example an 80mm Wave heading has been used, although normally a simple pencil pleat is used behind a pelmet.

Sometimes clients don't want too much window dressing. In the picture, the pelmet is used to provide a window dressing to finish the windows off wonderfully whilst being very simple. Here,  a wooden venetian blind is also added to provide privacy or protection from the sun, but will fold up out of sight when not wanted. We also provide roller blinds, which can range from semi tranparent to semi opaque to complete blackout and in a huge range of colours. We are also able to produce roller blinds using patterned curtain fabric. Sometimes, Roman blinds are fitted with pelmets.

Roman blinds can be fitted either 'Face fixed', meaning on the wall and extending a few inches either side  of and above the window, or more often than not 'Recess fixed' which as the name suggests is fitted in the actual window recess, as in this case.
